The free Radi8 app is currently available for iPhone and iPad in the app store. Go to the app store and search for Radi8 - or click this link. After you install the app click the “Sign Up” button in the top-right corner of the sign in screen. Enter your company email address and create a password then sign up. For security, you will receive an email asking you to validate your email address. Open your email and click the link to validate your email, then return to the Radi8 app and it will automatically continue registration.
The first screen you will see is a news feed of stories relevant to your company. Tap anywhere on the story to read more. If you want to save the story as a favorite, so you can read it or share it later, tap on the star.
If the story says Share, you can tap directly on the Share button without having to read the story. This gives you quick access to your social networks and makes it easy to share. If you do want to read the story first, tap on the story and look in the top-right corner of the story detail screen for the Share button. You can share from this screen, and you can tap the star to mark this story as a favorite.
The top-right corner of the news feed is a button that allows you to filter what news stories you want to see. By default you will see all news stories, even if you’re read or shared them. There are two other options, New Stories, and Favorites. If you select New Stories you will only see stories you have not read or shared. If you select Favorites you will only see stories you have marked as favorite.
Some stories you may want to delete from your feed or archive so they don’t even show up in your All Stories filter. To delete or archive a story, swipe from right-to-left on the story and it will reveal two buttons. Tap the delete button to permanently delete this story from your news feed, or tap the archive button to hide it.
Once you read or share a story you will notice a small red circle with a number in it at the bottom of your screen. These are your points. You collect points by reading and sharing stories, and the amount of points depends on how valuable your admin thinks the story is. You can tap on the Points tab at the bottom of your screen to see how you compare to the rest of the team for that current month. At the end of every month the points reset to zero and everyone has a fresh start.
The last tab on the bottom of your screen is for your Account. You can update your profile, add in your first and sign out of Radi8. There is also a button that you can set to hide your points if you don’t want to be listed on the points leaderboard along with the rest of the team. You will still accumulate points and you can still see your points total on the bottom of the screen, but nobody else will see your points on the leaderboard.
